FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.                Why do kids and adults have to wear socks only in the playspace?

We are trying to prevent tracking of outside contaminants into the playspace, where children are playing, rolling and crawling.  Our goal is keep the space as clean and sanitary as possible.  This is best achieved by requiring everyone who enters the playspace to wear socks only.

2.                Can I bring a stroller into the playspace?

We cannot allow strollers into the playspace as the wheels may track contaminants onto the mats.

3.                How do you clean MonkeyTown?

We take the cleanliness of our facility and the health of you and your children very seriously.

All equipment in the playspace, from the biggest (our slide) to the smallest (the play food), is cleaned at least once every day.  Most items are cleaned and disinfected several times a day.  We use recommended disinfectants and virucide.  We also ask that parents bring us items that their children have put in their mouths so we can give it an extra cleaning.

"Touchable" surfaces, like doors, gates, knobs, counters, playtables, mats etc  are disinfected several times a day.

Additionally, we have a cleaning company come in every night to clean.

We offer hand sanitizer throughout the facility.

5.  Why did some of your prices increase as of July 1, 2010?

Until June 30, 2010, our admission prices included GST and were not subject to PST.  However, effective July 1, 2010, the new HST will come into force and this increased tax applies to our admission charges and other services.

As a result of this new tax, as well as other rising costs (including two minimum wage increases since we opened), we had to increase some of our prices effective July 1, 2010.

To keep MonkeyTown affordable for families, effective July 1, 2010 our multi-admission options (like our 10-visit passes & Monkey Fun Cards) will be an even better value under our new pricing structure.

We value and appreciate you as a customer and will strive to continue to provide you with a quality, imaginative play experience.
